Score Valley Country House offers the personal service of a guest house with the tranquillity, space and comfort of a country house hotel. This splendid 18th century residence holds pride of place with commanding views over this secluded unspoiled valley, which has hardly changed over the years.
We have eight bedrooms which have been individually furnished with king and super king sized beds, retaining many of the period features including some of the original fireplaces and two roll top baths. Four of these rooms can be made up with twin beds. (please check availability on booking). We also have a spacious single room for solo travellers. Two of our rooms are family sized and can be equipped with an extra bed on request. All bedrooms are fully en-suite, except one which has private facilities, and are equipped with generous hospitality trays, towels and toiletries, colour TV, shaver points and heated towel rails.
As a husband and wife team we take pride in the friendly, relaxed atmosphere of the hotel and in ensuring that after a good night’s sleep you will be set up for the day with a hearty breakfast. Breakfasts are freshly prepared to order using locally sourced produce wherever possible, with a choice of either an English breakfast or a selection from our daily menu. Special dietary requirements can also be catered for.
Open all year round we also welcome groups and parties to enjoy the wide range of activities nearby including Surfing, Golf, Clay shooting and Quads. Our rooms are equipped with zip and link beds so we can configure them as Twins for single sex groups as required. We have a gun cabinet and storage for golf clubs or surf boards.
We are also pleased to welcome small to medium dogs and well behaved owners.
