We were delighted to take delivery of a brand new Tramper straight off the production line this morning!
Huge thanks to Countryside Mobility for arranging this for us.
The new Tramper purchase was enabled by a generous legacy left to Countryside Mobility by someone who was previously a member, and hoped that others would have the same benefits from accessing and exploring the countryside and coast. The last little bit of funding came from a smaller – but still very generous – in memory donation.
We are so grateful that we can continue to offer Tramper hire here at Woolacombe Tourist Information Centre, to help people with walking difficulties access our stunning beach and countryside.
As you can imagine, the coastal elements that the Tramper is exposed to on a regular basis takes its’ toll after a while – this one has been given an extra powder coating to help give a bit more protection from the marine environment!
Thanks also to the North Devon National Trust who lease the Tramper from Countryside Mobility for us to host at the TIC. They also maintain many of the pathways that it can go on.
Note, this is a replacement Tramper not an additional one!
