Mortehoe Museum will be celebrating its' 30th Anniversary in 2026!
They have launched a Crowdfunder Appeal to raise funds to make improvements to the Museum ...
'Mortehoe Museum is a treasure chest of local history, set up in 1996 by a group of dedicated people who wished to keep preserving the history of the parish for future generations. As a small museum we rely on our visitors generousity to keep us going, the museum is free to visit and all our income comes from donations, and money raised from our shop and events programme. These funds cover our day to day running costs, but do not allow us to do all the work we would love to be able to. As we celebrate our 30th anniversary we would like to update our displays, this can be a costly project which we hope with you we can work together to get this done for future visitors to enjoy.
We would like to buy some new display cases for our minerals, fossils and archaeological artefacts, we would also like to invest in new display boards updating our infographics and buy some VR and interactive displays. All of this is ambitious for a small museum, and we are reaching out to you for support.
Whatever you can afford is hugely appreciated by us at the Museum, we are dedicated to keeping the museum going for another 30 years and keeping alive the dedication and passion that set the museum up in 1996, we need your help to do this'.
