The ever-popular, family-friendly Mortehoe Scarecrow Festival returns this year, from 31st July - 3rd August!

PANTOMIME CHARACTERS!
Imagine Sleeping Beauty, and Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Captain Hook, Dorothy, the Tin Man, and lots more old favourites, in scarecrow form! We have some amazingly creative local residents, organisations and businesses who make the scarecrows for the event, and we can't wait to see what they will create this year!
The Festival involves a trail of approximately 30 scarecrows around Mortehoe village, starting from the Play Area outside the Museum (or North Morte Farm Caravan & Campsite). Pick up your trail sheet and follow the trail to identify each of the scarecrows. Once you're done, hand in your sheet (5 winners will be selected at random to win a prize), and most importantly, all the members of your family or group get to vote for their favourite scarecrow!
There are plenty of opportunities for refreshments on the route, including cream teas, ice-creams, lunch, coffees, etc. And don't forget to visit the fascinating Mortehoe Museum (free to enter, and it has a lovely gift shop too!)
