Warcombe Farm Mortehoe Woolacombe Autumn Camping Campsite

Still seeking the perfect Devon Campsite for your Autumn break?

October is a magical month to visit North Devon. The last chance to get away before dark nights descend and Winter sets in. Summer crowds have long departed.  Beaches are almost deserted and dog restrictions lifted. Freedom! The beautiful Coast Path is much less trodden and the weather is still pleasant with crisp, blue sky days and clear, starry nights. Our beautiful Devon countryside looks particularly splendid in its vibrant red and gold autumnal colours. The hedgerows are heavy with blackberries, juicy sloes and wild raspberries, a haven for the foragers amongst you! Warcombe Farm Camping Park is an idyllic choice, just the ticket for exploring our beautiful area and its stunning coastline! You will find this park in a superb location nestled between the pretty village of Mortehoe and scenic Lee Bay.  With panoramic sea views, a fully stocked fishing lake for the exclusive use of guests, 14 acres of woodland dog walk, complete with doggie shower, interesting nature trail, well equipped childrens’ play area and popular aerial slide, Warcombe is sure to appeal to the whole family!

The site enjoys direct access to the spectacular South West Coast Path and is just a short distance from the famous Tarka Trail link for safe, off-road, cycling.  They are also merely a stone’s throw from the award winning, golden sandy expanse of surf beach at Woolacombe, recently designated UK’s only World Surfing Reserve. The Devon surf is notorious for being at its absolute best at this time of year due to the westerly Atlantic swells and the sea is still warm from the Summer sun!  Take advantage of the quieter waters to improve your surfing skills! Not a surfer? The lesser known, more sheltered, coves of Lee, Barricane and Combesgate are great for rock pooling or a sublime sunset or morning dip if that’s more your thing. Warcombe’s excellent position makes them a firm favourite with walkers, cyclists, surfers and wild water swimmers alike.

The Park has been lovingly landscaped by a team of longstanding, experienced Groundsmen. No clinical pitches, just an abundance of wild flowers, perfect sunsets and fabulous views! Generously sized plots are standard so you can spread yourselves out and you will be offered a varied range to suit all tastes, size and type of camping unit. The guys at Warcombe pride themselves on modern, luxury service blocks, all with under floor heating for your ultimate camping comfort. These are cleaned to an exceptionally high standard, particularly at peak times.

There are fully accessible bathrooms, laundry facilities, microwave ovens, dish washing areas and a wetsuit wash as well as an on-site shop for groceries, basic camping supplies, pet products and handmade cards and gifts. There is a bus stop right outside the site entrance should you wish to leave the car behind and explore further afield.

A very warm welcome awaits you at Warcombe Farm Camping Park. Check out their reviews and see what their guests say for yourselves!
