Reintroduction of water voles - An evening with Citizen Zoo and the National Trust

Mon 25 August 2025, 6pm – 7:30pm

Join us at Mortehoe Village Hall to find out how the National Trust and Citizen Zoo are working to reintroduce water vole. Learn how to spot and monitor these mammals in the wild and find out how you can help support this vital conservation effort.

The evening will begin with a presentation from Citizen Zoo, sharing how you can get involved in monitoring water voles in your everyday life. Learn how to spot signs of their presence while out walking, and how to record and share anything you find. The National Trust will then share plans for the reintroduction of water voles to the area, explaining how this will help restore biodiversity and support healthier watercourses.

You'll also have the chance to express your interest in volunteering or supporting the project directly.

Whether you're a wildlife enthusiast or simply curious about local nature, this is a great opportunity to learn more and get involved.
