Transformation in progress to create a sensational art gallery at RHS Garden Rosemoor from 15 November to 31 January
Work is underway to find prime positions for over 100 sculptures, where they can admired to their best advantage, ready for the start of a Winter Sculpture Exhibition at RHS Garden Rosemoor. Artwork made from ceramics, stone, slate, steel, bronze, wood, wire, resin, glass and recycled tools, created by artists from all over the country, will be installed against textural winter backdrops or in indoor spaces, ready to view from 15 November to 31 January.
This year, to mark the start of the residency, a special opening weekend is planned for 15-16 November. Head to the Garden Room to meet some of the artists in person, view their work and learn about their inspiration, work and processes – if you fall in love with a piece, you will be able to buy it direct from the creator, knowing exactly how and why the sculpture was made. Participating artists include Lucy d’ Auvergne, Candice Bees, Oliver Bramstone, Luke Edgar, Bea Green, John Hadfield, Sarah Harvey, Angelique Medland, Elliot Parry, Steve Parsons and Mike Thompson.
Alternatively, join the free drop-in clay sculpture making workshop to make your very own artwork on Saturday 15 November or, visit on Sunday 16 November, to be entertained by five of Marvellous Eventures 'Living Statues' in the gardens from 11am - 3pm.
If you are unable to visit that first weekend, you have plenty of time to view the exhibition as it will be in situ until 31 January. In fact, many of the sculptures will feature prominently in the festive illuminated trail, RHS Glow, taking place on selected evenings between Friday 21 November and Tuesday 30 December. This ticketed event is very popular though so book soon to secure your preferred date and time.
This year, special seasonal prices have been introduced for daytime garden admission so if you book in advance online, you save. Remember too that dog friendly days are being trialled at RHS Rosemoor every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday until 18 March 2026, so you have an opportunity for an inspiring dog walk!
