Beach Hut Bank Build Underway for the Summer Season
Work is now underway on Woolacombe Beach as the team begins preparing the sandbank for this year’s beach huts.
Each spring, the bank is carefully rebuilt using diggers and dumper trucks — not a bad office view for the drivers. This process usually takes a couple of weeks, followed by around a week of assembling the huts themselves, which are stored flat throughout the winter months.
The beach huts will be ready to hire from May Half Term onwards, with bookings available online at: https://www.parkinestates.co.uk/beach-huts
Online bookings are available for 4‑day or 7‑day hires, with a 4‑day booking priced at £160. Daily hire is also available (subject to availability) from the Beach Hut Office on the Slipway, next to Enrico’s Ice Cream Parlour.
There are 70 traditional beach huts to choose from, each named after a classic girls’ name. Every hut comes equipped with: • A windbreak • Two deckchairs • A picnic table • Two picnic chairs
