Covid Update December 2020

Tourist Information Centre Opening Hours over Christmas & New Year:
Monday 21st & Tuesday 22nd 10am-1pm
Closed 22nd – 28th Inclusive.
Open Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th & Thursday 31st December 10am-1pm
Closed 1st – 3rd January Inclusive.
Re-open 4th January 2021 at 10am … subject to Coronavirus Restrictions.

Marine Drive Car Park, The Esplanade roadside parking bays, Putsborough and Mortehoe Car Parks are all currently open. We politely request that if you do come to Woolacombe or Mortehoe by car, that you park legally and responsibly in one of these areas. If, for example The Esplanade parking bays are all full, please do not park on the double yellow lines, go instead to Marine Drive, where there are plenty of spaces.

Woolacombe and Mortehoe are in Tier Two, therefore overnight stays are permitted if you are travelling from a Tier One or Two area. Unfortunately, guests and second home owners from Tier Three & Four areas are not permitted at this time.

WOOLACOMBE BEACH IS AN AWARD WINNING BEACH!
Voted Number 6 in Europe and Number 20 in the World in the 2020 Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Awards!

Voted as the fourth Best Beach in the UK on Tripadvisor for 2019, and previously the Best Beach twice in recent years! Woolacombe also holds the ‘England for Excellence Gold Award’ for best family resort and was voted the Best British Beach in the Mail On Sunday. Woolacombe Beach lies between Morte Point and Baggy Point. This three-mile long stretch of golden sand is renowned for it’s cleanliness, water quality and facilities. Life guards ensure safe family swimming during the summer and surfers come from all over the country to enjoy the great waves and clean water.

Woolacombe itself is a lively village with great pubs, restaurants and places to stay. Visitors of all ages will find plenty to do away from the beach. There’s a friendly, laid-back atmosphere here which visitors are sure to enjoy. Visit us and you’ll see why people come back summer after summer.
