Ocean Backpackers

Ocean Backpackers is a ten minute drive from the award-winning Woolacombe Beach.

The Independent Youth Hostel is situated in Ilfracombe, and is located close to it’s picturesque Harbour which is home to Damien Hirst’s statue ‘Verity.’

This cool, clean and friendly Hostel offers excellent facilities for walkers, cyclists, surfers, divers as well as families, school groups and activity groups. Dorms, single, double and family rooms are available at great Budget prices!

Facilities include a spacious self-catering kitchen, dining area, communal lounge with free internet-wifi. Large basement storage area, a new coat and boot drying room useful for walkers, and a patio area. There is a public car park to the rear of the property on Ropery Road. 

Nestled in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Ilfracombe has many shops, pubs, cafes, galleries and restaurants and is full of curious coastal charm! We welcome groups of all sizes that enjoy the buzz of a Backpackers and have a love of the great outdoors!
