The BIG Sheep is North Devon’s most popular family attraction, with some of the best rides, shows and all weather entertainment in the area.
Based in the country on the A39 it is easy to get to and often hard to leave. Good to arrive early as their 11 shows based on farming life, which include a hilarious sheep show of the different breeds, sheepdog shows, shearing, lamb feeding and the afternoon sheep racing (with sheep including Red Ram, Sheargear and Woolly Jumper which you can bet on and win The BIG Sheep memorial cup !) are definitely not to be missed. There are rides for all the family and this year they have opened the biggest family roller coaster in the South West, which can be ridden by everyone over 4 years old ! 400m or awesome fun, over 12m high with two lift hills and guaranteed to make you smile !
There is a range of activities to keep all the family entertained. The indoor lambing and animal building, junior rides including the tractor track, safari and the piggy ride are great for the little ones, magical moment for mums and dads, there are shows which the children help with, a fantastic EWEtopia indoor playground – one of the best themed play areas in the UK, the battlefield, giant jumping pillows, archery tag and the extreme area are great for older children and the award winning brewery which produces 15,000 pints a week is always a hit with the dads and granddads. The daily beer experience show explains the mysteries of producing the perfect pint !
