Welcome to the official website of the Woolacombe & Mortehoe Tourist Information Centre
** UPDATE – 4TH JUNE 2020 **
Facilities in Woolacombe are slowly beginning to open up, however, they are still limited. Our advice remains to not travel any great distance to visit Woolacombe so as to not to put unnecessary strain on local amenities and services, however, if you live relatively locally, we would love to see you!
Car Parks: There is parking along The Esplanade (Pay & Display), Marine Drive Car Park (above the dunes) is open, as is Putsborough Sands Car Park (at the southern end of Woolacombe Beach). The remaining beach car parks will open later this month.
Toliets: The toilet block opposite Red Barn on Barton Road is open, as is the block opposite Combesgate beach at the far end of The Esplanade.
Local Businesses: Essential shops remain open, and there are a limited number of eateries offering takeaways. Some non-essential businesses are set to open on 15th June.
Lifeguards: There are currently no RNLI lifeguards on duty on Woolacombe Beach. They are due to start patrolling later this month.
No Overnight Stays: In line with Government guidelines, there is no overnight accommodation available in Woolacombe, this includes staying overnight in campervans, etc. Stays in second homes is still not permitted.
Litter: Please respect our beautiful beaches and villages – if bins are full, please take your litter home with you, thank you. Local authorities and businesses are working hard to get full refuse services back on track.
